Shafer Update: Game Tied 0-0 Bottom of the 7th [Jun 9, 2007]
Aaron Shafer got out of a jam in the top of the 7th with the bases loaded and two outs, getting a pop out to center to end the inning. The Wichita State pitching coach was tossed after WSU thought Shafer had gotten a strikeout on a breaking ball to end the inning. Shafer then got the next batter to fly out to center to end the innings on the second pitch of the at-bat.
Shafer has pitched 7 innings, allowing 5 hits, and striking out 5. Of those 5 hits, 4 were singles. He also walked two batters. With around 90 pitches, Shafer is likely done for the day.

T-roy B-log Upgrades [Dec 20, 2006]
Yesterday, Google took the beta tag off the new version of Blogger and I took the opportunity to upgrade the T-roy B-log to the new version. Most of the changes are on my end, but there is one thing that is an awesome tool for the readers of this blog; tags. At the bottom of each post, you will see the labels. Click on a label and you will be able to see all of the things I have posted about in that category since I started this blog. For your conveience, I labled this post with all the tags. Enjoy and check back often.

Rose in P-D [Jul 18, 2006]
An article in the Post-Dispatch talks a little about Richard Rose, a senior-to-be at Troy Buchanan. The article is about AAU summer basketball and the college recruiting that goes on during it. Below is the excerpt from the article concerning Rose:
Richard Rose of Troy High has found that playing with the Eagles can boost a potential college career. He played for the St. Louis Majestics in 2005 but was asked by Frazier to try out for the Eagles.
He was previously unrecruited, but his mailbox has been busy. Drake of the Missouri Valley Conference and Elon College in North Carolina have shown the most interest.
"He never had any of this before. Nothing," said Rose's father, Chuck. "Now he's getting quite a bit. ... The Eagles have given him that chance to be close to Division I, so hopefully he'll get something."
