Almost Final Election Results [Aug 8, 2006]

The Post-Dispatch is reporting that the Lincoln County election results are final.
The TDD tax passed 28-27. 122 people were eligible to vote on that issue.
Jerry Fox beat Ginia Meier with 70% of the vote for the Democratic position in the race for Collector of Revenue. Carol Wessel, a top opponent of the TDD tax, beat Craine Norton by a similar margin for the GOP nod.
Statewide results are only 50-75% complete.
Sandra Thomas, the Platte County Auditor, holds a 6% lead over Jack Jackson for the Republican State Auditor candidate position. Susan Montee looks to be the winner for the Democrats. Thomas only carried about 13% of the Lincoln County vote whereas Montee carried Lincoln County.
Ed Schieffer beat Jim Volmert for the 11th District State Rep Democratic slot by almost 300 votes.
Incumbent Scott Rupp is beating Joe Brazil for the 2nd District State Senate GOP nomination. George Weber holds a slim lead for the Democratic nod in that race.
Constitutional Amendment 1 looks to pass as it only needs a simple majority to pass and is passing by a wide margin with 75% of the precincts reporting.
